Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams through APQP and new product implementation, ensuring manufacturing facilities are prepared for successful product launches.
- Evaluate manufacturing feasibility, production capabilities and cost considerations throughout the product development cycle.
- Coordinate tooling requirements, capital equipment requests, vendor selection and tooling development through production approval.
- Partner with Engineering, Purchasing, Operations and Quality to ensure successful implementation of new products.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including BOMs, quality requirements, tooling specifications and ERP/MRP information.
- Review engineering drawings and support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to ensure manufacturing accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate pilot production runs, identify process or product deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Support supplier qualification, component approvals and quality planning activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, production efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures and internal manufacturing standards.
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, with eligibility for P.Eng designation.
- 8–12 years of engineering experience within a product design and manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with APQP, new product launches and manufacturing process development.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams.
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tooling, production processes and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management requirements.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and SolidWorks.
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Play a key role in bringing new products from development into full-scale manufacturing.
- Work on technically challenging projects with cross-functional teams.
- Opportunity to influence manufacturing processes, tooling decisions and production readiness.
- Join an established manufacturing organization offering opportunities for professional growth and development.
Salary Range: $85,000–$105,000 annually.
