Original job description

Democratize IT with us

ITI is looking for an IT Solutions Architect based in the Maritimes to help organizations turn their business challenges into practical, high-performing technology solutions.

This is a client-facing role for someone with broad expertise across cloud, data centre infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity who enjoys connecting technology to real business needs.

Working closely with our Account Managers, technical specialists and technology partners, you’ll act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process. You’ll help clients understand their options, design the right solutions and confidently move their technology initiatives forward.

You’ll also play an important role in growing ITI’s presence across the Maritime market. You’ll join a team of 10 IT Solutions Architects and report to the Director, IT Solutions Architecture within our Sales business unit.

Your role at ITI

You will be responsible for:

Meet with clients to understand their business and technology challenges and translate them into solution requirements;
Design and recommend IT solutions across cloud, hybrid infrastructure, data centre, networking and cybersecurity;
Partner with Account Managers throughout the sales cycle, bringing the technical expertise needed to position the right solutions;
Present solutions and recommendations in a way that makes complex technology clear and meaningful to both technical and business audiences;
Build trusted relationships with clients across the Maritimes and act as a strategic technical advisor;
Collaborate with technology partners such as Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, Commvault, Lenovo, HPE and Fortinet;
Stay current on emerging technologies and market trends and share relevant insights with clients and colleagues;
Continue developing your expertise through ongoing learning, training and certifications.

This position is for you if...

You have a broad understanding of IT infrastructure rather than expertise limited to a single technology;
You naturally take a consultative approach and enjoy understanding the business problem before recommending the technology;
You can take complex technical concepts and make them clear, practical and relevant to your audience;
You’re comfortable working alongside sales teams and contributing your technical expertise throughout the sales process;
You enjoy presenting solutions, influencing decisions and helping clients navigate their technology transformation;
You’re curious, collaborative and genuinely enjoy learning about new technologies.

What we’re looking for

Your background

Experience in IT solutions architecture, technical presales, solution engineering or another client-facing technology consulting role;
Strong knowledge across areas such as data centre infrastructure, cloud, hybrid infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity;
Experience working with technologies from vendors such as Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, Commvault, Lenovo, HPE and Fortinet, or similar technology ecosystems;
Understanding of complex IT solution sales cycles. Knowledge of the Maritime market is a strong asset;
Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in solutions architecture, presales or a similar consultative technology role is considered an asset;
Relevant technical certifications are considered an asset;
A university degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience;
Strong spoken and written English skills to work with clients, partners and vendors and participate in industry training, events and conferences. French is considered a strong asset.

What you bring as a person

Strong client focus and a solutions-oriented mindset;
Excellent communication and presentation skills;
Strategic thinking and business acumen;
Collaboration and team spirit;
Autonomy, initiative and leadership;
Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning;
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills;
An entrepreneurial mindset.

What we offer

Our honour code is to never take you for a number. We support our teams to take on challenges with agility. Each and every one of us has the latitude to move forward and get things done.

Concretely, this means:

A work environment where transparency and honesty reign - where everyone enjoys autonomy and the trust and attention of their leaders ;
The ability to divide your time between home and the office - and have truly flexible working hours ;
Summer schedule - 8 additional half-days off ;
A group insurance plan - adaptable to your needs ;
A telehealth service including 24/7 access to medical personnel - to respond to your concerns ;
Personal days - to ensure you’re there for life’s important moments ;
Floating holidays - to help you take some time off in your busy life ;
A Group RRSP - to plan for life after your career ;
Continuing education - to develop your skills and help you grow.

Our values

We believe how we do something is just as important as what we do.

We leverage our expertise, ethics, commitment and excellence to advise, collaborate and bring projects to life.

We are ITI

We believe in blending styles and backgrounds. In the differences that push us to think differently. That’s why ITI has an Equal Employment Opportunity program and encourages women, people with disabilities indigenous people and visible minorities to submit their application. We are working to become an inclusive employer for all and accommodation measures may be provided, upon request, to persons with disabilities throughout the pre-screening and selection process.

Our simple recruitment process

Simplifying things is in our DNA.

If your application is selected, you will be invited to an initial virtual interview with our recruitment specialist. If this interview is successful for both of us, you will be invited to a virtual interview with the hiring manager and our recruitment specialist. If necessary, a technical interview may be added to the process for IT positions.

All applications are treated as confidential.

By submitting your application for this position, you consent to our collection and use of your personal information for the purpose of evaluating your application. If your application is unsuccessful, you also consent to us contacting you regarding similar job opportunities.
