Deployment Project Controls Specialist

We are looking for a seasoned Project Controls professional to own schedule, cost, and labour visibility across our Solutions Deployment function on rail signalling projects. You will serve as the control point between delivery teams and senior management. You will turn project data into clear insight on critical path, Estimate at Completion (EAC), labour demand, and milestone health, so that leaders can make timely, informed decisions.The role has two parts. You will provide hands-on planning and controls support on active CBTC deployments, and you will drive reporting, governance, and process improvement for the Solutions Deployment department as a whole.

Responsibilities on active projects:

• Create, update and monitor the Project schedule in Primavera or MS Project with inputs from the Deployment team members
• Familiar with logic of activities on a rail signalling project (CBTC preferred)
• Work with the Deployment core team (Deployment Project Manager, Site Deployment Manager, Site Infrastructure Design work package managers, Maintenance & Training manager) to generate monthly and quarterly updates of EAC and labour demand
• Provide reports/metrics including Critical Path, EAC variance, Critical milestones movement, KPIs & labor forecasts to the Deployment core team and sr. management.
• Participate in the preparation of a Baseline schedule with lead project planner, and has an understanding of how changes have an impact to the Baseline schedule
• Good understanding of S-Curves. Has an understanding of how the S-Curve outputs relate back to the schedule. Can provide basic analysis of the S-Curve outputs
• Experienced in dealing with Customers and Suppliers and dealing with their schedulers on integration.
• Foster an environment of cooperation, commitment and buy-in amongst the Project Team members and the Heads of Disciplines
• Responsibilities from Department as a function:
• Generate the monthly Solutions Deployment dashboard with information related to labour (actual vs. forecast), including evolution of the overall ETC/EAC from month-to-month
• Participate during the monthly Solutions Deployment dashboard reviews to go through project details and support the DPM with labour efforts and schedule related topics
• Work with HODs to review the quarterly LFR demand and prepare template of analysis with Sr. Management
• Actively track and monitor on-time timesheet submission from the Solutions Deployment department as a whole, complemented with weekly report showing status
• Actively track and monitor mandatory training completion rate from the Solutions Deployment department as a whole, complemented with regular report showing status
• Propose and implement initiatives from project controls perspective to provide value-added services to Solutions Deployment function
• Work with HODs to develop PowerBI dashboards for Sr. Management

On new BIDS, review tender/contract requirements thoroughly and assist in developing the schedule of Solutions Deployment activities and provide inputs on the schedule narrative
