Are you currently pursuing studies in forestry or looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and rewarding environment? Join the J.D. Irving, Limited Woodlands Operations Team in Northern New Brunswick for Summer 2027.

This opportunity will allow you to work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop practical skills that will help prepare you for a successful career in the forestry industry.

Salary Range
•    $23.92 to $26.12 per hour

Responsibilities

You will work closely with our operational teams and contractors to support our safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
Key Responsibilities
•    Collaborate with contractors and operations teams to support production goals
•    Conduct observations and follow-ups to monitor productivity and operational quality
•    Monitor daily harvesting, transportation, road construction, and road maintenance activities
•    Participate in forestry quality assessments
•    Assist with the collection and analysis of operational data
•    Complete various administrative and operational follow-up activities
•    Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

You are currently enrolled in a college or university program in:
•    Forestry
•    Forest Engineering
•    Forestry Technology
•    Forestry Technician Program

Skills and Qualifications
•    Experience in the forestry industry is considered an asset
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•    Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
•    Strong organizational and prioritization skills
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
•    Commitment to health, safety, and environmental stewardship
•    Valid driver's license
•    Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset
•    Must meet J.D. Irving, Limited selection criteria
