Original job description

The HR Client Services Representative works as part of the HR Shared Services Team, located at our Head Office in Saint John, New Brunswick. This role provides superior customer service to employees, leaders, and stakeholders across the organization while supporting HR, payroll, benefits, and system-related inquiries. The successful candidate will contribute to process improvements, reporting activities, testing support, and initiatives that enhance employee experience and service delivery.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and stakeholders, delivering exceptional service through phone, email, chat, and other case management channels.
Respond to employee questions and complete transactions throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Investigate and resolve HR, payroll, benefits, and system-related inquiries by gathering information, researching available resources, and identifying solutions.
Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to organize, review, and maintain employee and operational data.
Learn and apply HR processes, policies, and systems while understanding how your work supports employees and the broader organization.
Leverage technology and identify opportunities to improve processes, employee experience, reduce risk, and enhance service delivery.
Support testing activities, process documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, support team goals, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a customer service, administrative, HR, payroll, or related environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Demonstrated customer service mindset and commitment to providing a positive employee experience.
Ability to learn new systems, processes, and technologies.
Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
