The Manager, Data and Digital Innovation provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Fleetway's Technical Publications, Configuration and Data Management (CMDM), and Document Management functions. The role is accountable for developing and executing Fleetway's data management and digital innovation strategies, ensuring the organization leverages modern technologies, integrated data environments, and industry best practices to meet client, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the Manager leads Fleetway's Digital Innovation Agenda, including the implementation and governance of integrated data environments (IDE), digital transformation initiatives, and the adoption of industry standards such as S1000D. The Manager serves as the key liaison with J.D. Irving Information Technology and other corporate and industry partners, ensuring digital solutions are aligned with Fleetway's business objectives and customer needs.
The Manager is also responsible for the performance, development, and succession planning of departmental personnel, ensuring the team possesses the skills and capabilities required to support Fleetway's evolving digital future.

Responsibilities
Lead the development, production, and delivery of technical documentation, data products, and information management services, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with customer and contractual requirements.
Provide leadership and oversight for Technical Publications, Configuration and Data Management (CMDM), document management, and integrated data environment (IDE) activities.
Develop and execute Fleetway's data management, governance, and digital innovation strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, customer requirements, and industry best practices.
Identify, evaluate, and implement digital technologies, tools, and processes that improve operational efficiency, business performance, and service delivery.
Lead the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of integrated data environments and data-centric business processes, including the adoption of industry standards such as S1000D.
Collaborate with clients, corporate partners, J.D. Irving Information Technology, and industry stakeholders to deliver innovative data management and digital solutions.
Provide strategic guidance and subject matter expertise on technical publications, information management, digital transformation, and data governance initiatives.
Support organizational change management, workforce readiness, training, and user adoption associated with new technologies and digital tools.
Develop business plans, resource strategies, and workforce plans to support current and future operational requirements.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
Equivalent combination of technical diploma, education, and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in data management, digital transformation, engineering information management, technical publications, information technology, or related fields.
Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
Experience developing and implementing data governance, digital transformation, or enterprise information management strategies.
Experience working with integrated data environments, digital engineering tools, or enterprise technology initiatives.
Experience managing customer deliverables within a technical, engineering, defense, marine, or industrial environment.
Experience leading organizational change and business process improvement initiatives.
Assets
Knowledge of S1000D, configuration management, and technical publications.
Experience within marine, defense, engineering, or related industries.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is considered an asset.
