6+ years development experience in Data stage

  • IBM DataStage & ETL tool

Using common components of DataStage ( stages , sequencers) , connectors , parameter sets

Knowing Datastage architecture( conductors , worker node, WAS servers & config files)

Using Designer , Director & basic administrator console

Understand existing code, source to target mapping & design documents

Monitoring and supporting batch jobs

Incident management and root cause analysis

Basic performance tuning

  • Autosys

Job monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting

Understanding job design, control flows, and scheduling

  • Unix/Linux

Shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting

File system navigation, permissions, and log analysis

Understand existing scripts , files & logs,

  • Oracle Database

SQL (queries, DML, DDL)

Basic PL/SQL for debugging

Database connectivity troubleshooting

  • Production Support (BAU)

Ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, jira)

Change management and deployment

Support Documentation updates

Impact analysis and regression testing

  • General Skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Support and monitor DataStage batch jobs, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and carry out basic performance tuning. Maintain and debug job designs, control flows, scripts, and database connections, while supporting deployments, regression testing, documentation, and production operations.

Requirements

Requires 6 or more years of development experience with IBM DataStage and ETL tools, including DataStage stages, sequencers, connectors, parameter sets, architecture, and related consoles. Candidates should also have experience with Autosys, Unix/Linux shell scripting, Oracle SQL and basic PL/SQL, production support, ticketing and change processes, and strong analytical and communication skills.
