Original job description

Participate in business requirements and functional requirements gathering calls, which involves a review of existing systems configurations and operating methodologies as well as understanding evolving business needs.
Analyze and high-level design technical specification and functional specification documents for Guidewire ClaimCenter application functionalities as per business requirements.
Review such documentation with architects in the project and take their approval.
Create low level design document/technical specifications, for select GWCC, Spring Batch, Digital and Edge services-based projects
Follow the low level technical documentation to develop code components in Gosu language as part of change control process and implement new functionalities in Guidewire ClaimCenter. Work on Guidewire ClaimCenter batch jobs development. Update existing and create new CC destinations and pub sub event model of ClaimCenter.
Fix application defects by doing code changes, develop unit test cases using GUnit as per process. Create and update accelerators components developed to connect with external vendors.
Conduct peer reviews during coding and testing; log peer review defects in the appropriate tool; provide support to the Senior Product Specialist in defect analysis and resolution. Participate and Drive Agile scrum calls.
Organize and drive defect walk thru/KT meetings to Production support and other teams.
Define testing strategy for GUnit implementation and support QA to complete their testing
Develop reusable components; Create product based KT document, for the customer.
Participate in deployment activities like reviewing all deliverables as per the delivery checklist, preparing/reviewing deployment document and mock testing all deliverables, Conduct retrospection sessions after each quarterly release for walking through the defects and issues detailing the root cause of the defects, solution, steps taken to prevent the similar defect in future and lessons learnt.
In the production support role - perform incident management and problem management activities, by working with the offshore teams resolving technical incidents and problems created by business users.
Using ticket management software toolset and Applens tool, track incidents based on priorities, work on incidents along with the team members and ensure they are resolved within the agreed SLA.
Work on Service requests to provide reports and data views to the users.
Work on problems with the team members and help the team with root cause analysis for problems.
Act as a liaison with the business analysts and business users to discuss solutions and implement fixes to problems.
Coordinate with all stakeholders of the project and publish regular status to all through weekly status reports. Front end the team from customer location and attend review meetings to communicate the project status.
Prepare status reports for weekly meetings with details about incident trends, problems, backlog, alerts, reach outs and other parameters as agreed with the client.
Prepare monthly status reports for presenting with and client leadership detailing the achievements of each month, month on month trend, highlighting project health status, risk, challenges, achievements, and accolades.
Provide support to QA & Business team during system testing defect/clarification and UAT and ensure defect is fixed with in the stipulated SLA given by client.
