Role Description The Retail Team Lead is a part-time, on-site role based in Winnipeg, MB, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in daily store operations and team leadership. This role includes supervising and coaching team members, organizing daily tasks, and ensuring store standards, merchandising, and visual presentation are consistently maintained. The Retail Team Lead actively engages with customers on the sales floor, drives sales through world-class service, and supports initiatives that enhance overall customer experience. Responsibilities also include assisting with opening and closing procedures, monitoring inventory and stock levels, and contributing to loss prevention practices. The role requires a hands-on leader who can foster a positive team culture, communicate clearly, and help deliver a brand-consistent, welcoming retail environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management and Store Management skills to support daily scheduling, inventory handling, visual merchandising, and adherence to company procedures.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service and Customer Experience skills to create welcoming interactions, handle inquiries and concerns, and ensure a high-quality in-store experience.
- Previous experience in retail or team leadership, preferably in fashion or apparel, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed in a retail environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, sales-focused setting.
- Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and standard retail technology; additional training will be provided.
