Original job description
Come shape the future of brand experience.
At Jack Morton, we design and build head-turning, smile-inducing, impact-driving brand experiences that redefine what experiential marketing can achieve. We help our clients unlock the full value of experiences by turning bold ideas into meaningful connections.
That takes a team that's bold, curious, and acts as one. We build on each other's ideas, challenge conventions, and show up for one another every day. Here, you'll do your best work, grow quickly, and partner across clients, disciplines, and global teams to bring new ideas to life.
This is a place where curiosity drives what’s next, boldness raises the bar, and every win is shared. Where ownership is expected, egos are left at the door, and the work reflects the passion and talent of the people behind it.
Experience without limits - in your work, your growth, and your impact.
- Must be able to work onsite in Oakville 5 days a week**
We're looking for a talented Carpenter / Cabinet Maker to join our production team and help create custom exhibit booths that captivate audiences and showcase our clients' brands. If you take pride in precision craftsmanship, enjoy solving creative challenges, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you.
In this role, you'll transform designs into high-quality, custom-built exhibits using your woodworking expertise and attention to detail. Every project is unique, giving you the opportunity to build innovative marketing environments that are seen by thousands.
What You'll Do
- Build custom exhibit components, including wall panels, cabinets, counters, and display fixtures.
- Fabricate templates, jigs, and fixtures to support efficient, high-quality production.
- Construct and fit shipping crates to ensure exhibits arrive safely.
- Prepare, apply, and finish veneers, laminates, and solid surface materials.
- Cut, trim, sand, assemble, and install components with exceptional precision.
- Safely operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate builds.
- Maintain production records and follow established quality standards.
- Keep your workspace organized while promoting a safe, clean, and efficient shop environment.
- High school diploma or GED (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 6 months to 1 year of woodworking, cabinetry, or finish carpentry experience preferred.
- Strong measuring and mathematical skills with a commitment to precision.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in producing exceptional craftsmanship.
