- A minimum 15 years of experience in the natural resources sector, preferably in a consulting environment or adjacent industry positions.
- Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with environmental regulations and requirements.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team with a focus on mentorship and contributing to the preparation of environmental deliverables for a diverse range of projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading deliverable coordination, scheduling, and budget tracking, working closely with multi-discipline teams
- Experience delivering environmental assessments, impact assessments, planning studies, permitting and approvals, or related environmental assignments as a project manager, environmental lead, or key project team member, at a level appropriate to your experience
- Experience engaging with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and Indigenous communities.
- Experience providing strategic advice to clients and internal teams by identifying risks and opportunities for value add.
- Demonstrated understanding of environmental assessment and regulatory requirements and typical workflow for projects in Canada (e.g., BC Environmental Assessment Act, CER Filing Manual, Impact Assessment Agency of Canada) to support the components of impact assessments, permitting, and compliance
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks/projects and meet project deadlines.
- A high level of demonstrated initiative, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work under minimal supervision
- A driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract for client meetings.
- Experience working with a diverse range of industrial sectors such as oil and gas, mining, transportation, water conveyance, and energy
