  • Treat Everyone Like Your Best Friend
  • Find a Better Way

MISSION: Deliver a consistently fun, organized, and reliable league experience by leading on-the-ground execution in the Niagara region.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Player experience. Be at games 2 to 4 nights a week, rotating so you see every venue and League Ambassador regularly. Spot and fix on-site issues so every player feels welcomed, supported and excited to come back.
  • Player inquiries. Take the lead on answering player inquiries (email, phone, onsite), resolving issues as quickly as possible.
  • Smooth league nights. Help ensure leagues are organized, on time and played by the rules, especially during season launches and playoffs
  • Venue and on-site relationships. Work with venue partners, referees, coaches and on-site staff to solve problems and build trust.
  • Operational reliability. Assist with schedule changes, cancellations, equipment, t-shirts and logistics when required.
  • Retention and growth. Help fill leagues, flag new venue opportunities, and capture photos and moments that build community.
  • Other regions. Lend a hand to other regions when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 1 to 2+ years in sport operations, events, hospitality, recreation or customer service. Front-line, evening-shift experience is a plus.
  • Been a player: You’ve played in an adult rec league and know what makes one feel well run. Working knowledge of a variety of sports rules and formats is an asset.
  • Staff leadership: 1+ year coaching or supervising part-time staff. You hold the standard without being their buddy or their drill sergeant.
  • Customer service: You handle complaints and tough conversations by email, phone and in person, and resolve them without escalating.
  • Numbers: Comfortable making decisions based on numerical data.
  • Connector: You can walk into a bar, gym or local business and start a conversation. Sales or partnership experience is an asset.
  • Self-starter: You work independently and don’t need to be micromanaged.
  • Requirements: Based in Niagara (or nearby) with a valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.

HOURS AND COMPENSATION

  • Full-time, salaried position with benefits.
  • Varied working hours. Some days will be 9am to 5pm while other days will be 1pm to 9pm.
  • Monday – Friday. Occasional weekend events, with time off in lieu or additional pay.
  • $45,000 to $50,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • 10 vacation days and 10 personal days to start.
  • Full benefits after 3 months, plus the company RRSP matching program.
  • Complimentary league play.
  • GO PLAY Days in the summer, our version of summer hours: bank your Friday afternoon hours elsewhere in the week, book it with your team lead, and go play.

Application deadline is Friday, November 13th at 10:00 EST.
