Summary

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Purchaser (Buyer) to manage purchase orders, supplier follow-ups, and inventory availability for both local and international suppliers. You will work daily with JDE (JD Edwards), StockIQ, and JIMS to plan demand, place orders, expedite deliveries, and support internal stakeholders with timely and accurate purchasing execution.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Create, review, and release purchase orders in JDE (JD Edwards) while maintaining accurate purchasing records.
Use StockIQ (or similar demand and inventory planning tools) to support replenishment, forecasting, and reorder recommendations.
Work in JIMS to support purchasing workflows and coordination with internal teams.
Manage supplier communications regarding pricing, lead times, availability, minimum order quantities, backorders, and product substitutions.
Expedite delayed orders and proactively resolve supply issues to maintain service levels.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Receiving, Logistics, Technicians, Customer Service Representatives, Sales, and Operations, to ensure proper prioritization and timely product availability.
Validate vendor confirmations, shipping details, and documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs-related information when applicable.
Maintain accurate item and supplier data, including lead times, minimum order quantities, pricing, and supplier part numbers, while supporting master data improvements.
Support cost control initiatives by negotiating within established guidelines, identifying alternative sourcing options, and highlighting price increases.
Follow internal purchasing policies and compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements

2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying. Experience within distribution, manufacturing, service parts, or MRO environments is considered an asset.
Comfortable working with ERP and MRP systems, with experience using JDE (JD Edwards) and StockIQ strongly preferred.
Strong supplier follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail, particularly regarding quantities, pricing, lead times, and shipping terms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional supplier relationships.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including filters, lookups, and basic data analysis.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience purchasing from international suppliers, including familiarity with currencies, Incoterms, freight, and customs documentation.
Knowledge of service parts, electronic components, industrial/MRO products, or other technical products.

Language Requirements

Bilingual in English & French.

Résumé du poste

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Acheteur(se) rigoureux(se) et soucieux(se) du détail pour gérer les bons de commande, assurer le suivi des fournisseurs et veiller à la disponibilité des stocks auprès de fournisseurs locaux et internationaux. Vous travaillerez quotidiennement avec JDE (JD Edwards), StockIQ et JIMS afin de planifier la demande, passer les commandes, accélérer les livraisons et soutenir les intervenants internes grâce à une exécution efficace et précise des activités d’approvisionnement.

Principales responsabilités

Créer, réviser et émettre des bons de commande dans JDE (JD Edwards), tout en maintenant des dossiers d’approvisionnement exacts et à jour.
Utiliser StockIQ (ou un autre outil de planification des stocks et de la demande) afin d’appuyer le réapprovisionnement, les prévisions et les recommandations de commandes.
Utiliser JIMS pour soutenir les processus d’approvisionnement et la coordination avec les équipes internes.
Gérer les communications avec les fournisseurs concernant les prix, les délais de livraison, la disponibilité des produits, les quantités minimales de commande, les ruptures de stock et les produits de remplacement.
Effectuer le suivi des commandes en retard et résoudre de manière proactive les problèmes d’approvisionnement afin de maintenir les niveaux de service.
Collaborer avec les parties prenantes internes, notamment les équipes de réception, logistique, techniciens, représentants du service à la clientèle, ventes et opérations, afin d’assurer la bonne priorisation des besoins et l’approvisionnement en temps opportun.
Valider les confirmations fournisseurs, les détails d’expédition et la documentation requise, notamment les factures commerciales, les listes de colisage et les documents liés aux douanes lorsque nécessaire.
Maintenir l’exactitude des données relatives aux articles et aux fournisseurs, notamment les délais de livraison, les quantités minimales, les prix et les numéros de pièces fournisseurs, tout en contribuant à l’amélioration des données maîtresses.
Soutenir les initiatives de contrôle des coûts en négociant dans les limites établies, en identifiant des solutions de rechange et en signalant les augmentations de prix.
Respecter les politiques internes d’approvisionnement ainsi que les exigences de conformité.

Exigences minimales

Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en approvisionnement, achats ou gestion des achats. Une expérience dans les secteurs de la distribution, de la fabrication, des pièces de service ou du MRO (maintenance, réparation et opérations) est considérée comme un atout.
Aisance à travailler avec des systèmes ERP et MRP; une expérience avec JDE (JD Edwards) et StockIQ est fortement privilégiée.
Excellentes aptitudes pour le suivi auprès des fournisseurs et capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités simultanément.
Grande attention aux détails, notamment en ce qui concerne les quantités, les prix, les délais de livraison et les modalités d’expédition.
