Luxury Housekeeper - Trainee

Role Description We are now hiring multiple positions within our Housekeeping Department for our 2027 season! Our Luxury Housekeeper - Trainee position is a contract, on-site role based in Port Carling, ON. This role focuses on supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining hotel-quality cleanliness and presentation across luxury cottages and vacation properties. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with cleaning and sanitizing all rooms and common areas, laundering and preparing Jayne’s White Linen Service items, and staging properties with amenities such as toiletries and welcome items according to company standards. The trainee will help reset properties between guest stays, support weekly in-stay cleaning services, and report any maintenance or damage issues to the appropriate team members. This role includes on-the-job training in luxury housekeeping standards and procedures, with opportunities to learn how to deliver discreet, professional service that enhances the guest experience. Once the team member has completed our training, and are meeting our standards consistently, opportunities for career progression within the department and company are attainable.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Laundry skills, including handling high-quality linens and following care instructions.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with guests, team members, and supervisors.
• Candidates should possess solid Organization Skills to manage cleaning tasks, schedules, and property checklists efficiently.
• Candidates should possess an interest in Training and learning, with a willingness to follow established housekeeping procedures and quality standards.
• Candidates should have attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or luxury accommodations is an asset but not required for motivated trainees.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak vacation seasons.

Please Note:

• The hourly wage compensation is varied based on relevant previous work experience.
• Staff housing is available during our peak season between May and October.
• As well, please note that our main fulfillment facility is located in Port Carling and majority of our rentals are located in the Muskoka area but we are also seeking contracted team members to schedule casually in the other locations listed.
