About Us
JD Development Group is a Markham-based real estate developer and builder of residential communities in Ontario. We focus on delivering well-built homes and a dependable homeowner experience at every stage.

About the Role
The PDI Coordinator connects our construction team with our homebuyers in the final stage before closing. You will schedule and run Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs), make sure deficiencies are recorded accurately and fixed on time, and help each purchaser feel confident when they receive their keys.
This role is based at our project sites in the Kitchener region, with occasional travel to our head office in Markham. It is a six-month contract with the opportunity to move into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule PDIs with purchasers, site supervisors, and customer care, and confirm appointments ahead of closing dates.
  • Conduct or attend PDI walkthroughs with homeowners, explain home features and maintenance, and complete PDI forms in line with Tarion requirements.
  • Record deficiencies accurately, assign them to the right trades, and track them until they are completed.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, trades, and the sales and closings teams so homes are ready for inspection and occupancy.
  • Keep complete and organized PDI records, photos, and homeowner files.
  • Support Tarion warranty processes, including 30-Day and Year-End forms, and answer homeowner questions and concerns professionally.
  • Prepare regular status reports on upcoming PDIs, open deficiencies, and closing readiness for the head office team.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in new home construction, customer care, warranty, or site administration, including hands-on involvement in PDIs or deficiency management.
  • Working knowledge of Tarion warranty and PDI processes is a strong asset.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and understand basic building components and finishes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple sites and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction or customer-care software is an asset.
  • Valid Ontario G driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle for site visits and travel to Markham.

Compensation and Work Locations
  • Salary of $70,000 - $75,000 per year, prorated over the contract term
  • Mileage reimbursement for travel between project sites and to head office
