Equipment Operator / Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

As a key member of our operations team, you will help ensure our production equipment runs safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role combines equipment operation with hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will:

• Operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety standards
• Complete equipment start-ups, changeovers, adjustments, and quality checks
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory information
• Support production staff and contribute to a safe and efficient workplace
• Participate in continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
• Standing for extended periods
• Lifting up to 50 lbs

Technical Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certificate in Industrial Mechanic, Electrical - Industrial Maintenance and Controls Diploma, or equivalent combinations of education and experience
• 2+ years of experience in equipment operation, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or a related field
• Experience working with motors, conveyors, sensors, pneumatics, or packaging equipment
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Seal Millwright certification
• Forklift certification (we are willing to provide training)
• Working around operating equipment
