POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Associate plays a key role in driving business growth by prospecting, securing new clients, and maintaining strong relationships within Western Canada. Reporting to the Sales and Business Development Manager, this role utilizes a consultative sales approach to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions within industries such as oil and gas, mining, pipeline, construction, and utilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, is results-driven, and excels at building long-term partnerships while promoting our high-quality truck body solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel extensively within the assigned territory to prospect, meet clients, and provide product demonstrations.
Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle, fostering trust and loyalty.
Identify, develop, and sustain customer relationships to drive sales performance and achieve organizational objectives.
Educate customers on aftermarket services, warranties, and technical support to highlight the long-term value of our products.
Initiate contact with prospective customers, building long-term partnerships through strategic outreach and relationship management.
In conjunction with the Sales and Business Development Manager conduct sales forecasting, analyze performance metrics, and align efforts with sales goals.
Perform market analysis to identify customer needs, pricing strategies, and emerging trends.
Act as the voice of the customer, providing valuable insights to internal teams to inform product evolution and improve customer satisfaction.
Support sales and marketing initiatives with strategic input and market feedback.
Promote standardized product offerings to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and association meetings to promote our products and expand brand presence.

Close deals with key clients, maintain ongoing relationships, and identify opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with the product research and development team to ensure customer needs are met with innovative solutions.
Work closely with the Sales Manager and team to achieve shared goals and deliver consistent results.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong industry knowledge and a well-established professional network, with a proven ability to quickly understand and communicate the value of WTB products.

Demonstrated success in account development and management, with a track record of achieving sales targets.

Results-oriented, responsive, innovative, and strategic mindset.

Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively within Western Canada.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, including relationship-building, negotiation, and communication at all organizational levels.

Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract required.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

Minimum of 7 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in manufacturing or heavy equipment industries.

Familiarity with manufacturing environments involving heavy equipment, vehicles, or similar industries.

Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in using CRM systems and sales tracking tools to manage accounts and performance.
