Role Description The Professional Sales Representative role is a full-time, on-site position based at Jim Gauthier Kia in Winnipeg, MB. This role involves greeting customers, identifying their vehicle needs, and guiding them through the selection, test drive, and purchase process in a professional and transparent manner. The Sales Representative will provide detailed product information, explain financing and lease options, prepare sales quotations, and complete all required documentation accurately. Daily responsibilities include following up with leads, maintaining contact with existing customers, and using dealership tools and systems to manage appointments and sales activity. The role also involves collaborating with the sales and finance teams, participating in promotions and dealership events, and consistently upholding a high standard of customer service and ethical sales practices.

Qualifications:

Previous sales experience is preferred, with a proven ability to build relationships, close deals, overcome objections, and achieve sales targets. Automotive sales experience is considered a strong asset.

Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen, understand needs, and provide a positive showroom experience.
Sales and negotiation skills, including experience closing deals, overcoming objections, and maintaining a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain vehicle features, pricing, and financing options in an accessible manner.
Basic proficiency with computers and dealership systems (CRM tools, email, inventory and pricing platforms), and comfort working with digital resources.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple customers, follow-ups, and administrative tasks efficiently.
Interest in and ability to learn automotive products, features, and industry trends, with a focus on Kia vehicles and related services.
Previous automotive or retail sales experience is an asset but not required; a strong desire to learn and succeed in a sales environment is essential.
Ability to work on-site, including evenings and weekends as needed, and to stand and move around the showroom and lot for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to operate vehicles safely for customer test drives.
