JMC Aviation is currently recruiting for an experienced Engine Shop Manager to join an established aviation business supporting turbine engine maintenance, repair and overhaul operations.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall performance of the MRO shop, overseeing multiple teams and ensuring engine and module workscopes are completed safely, efficiently, on time and in line with all relevant regulatory and technical requirements.

We're looking for someone with a strong turbine engine MRO background who has experience leading production teams and is comfortable balancing technical, operational, quality and commercial priorities.

The Role

As the Manager, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the MRO shop, including:

Leading all shop floor activities across engine and module workscopes, including teardown, cleaning, inspection, repair, assembly and testing
Developing production plans and workflow priorities to achieve turnaround time and delivery targets
Managing and developing Crew Chiefs, Technicians and support staff
Monitoring production KPIs including output, efficiency, backlog and on-time delivery
Supporting technical escalations and non-routine repairs
Ensuring work is completed in accordance with OEM specifications, approved technical data and company procedures
Working closely with Quality Assurance to maintain inspection standards and reduce rework, escapes and non-conformances
Ensuring compliance with Transport Canada, FAA and EASA requirements
Supporting audits and ensuring any findings are effectively closed out
Overseeing tooling, equipment and infrastructure requirements
Ensuring effective use of ERP systems for work orders, labour tracking, materials, records and production reporting
Managing labour costs, material usage and operating budgets
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput and cost
Leading Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives
Supporting future capacity expansion, digitalisation and process standardisation

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Extensive experience working within a turbine engine MRO shop environment
Proven experience managing supervisors, Crew Chiefs or similar production teams
Strong knowledge of turbine engine maintenance, repair and overhaul processes
A strong understanding of OEM technical publications and approved technical data
Good knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and quality systems
Experience working with an ERP system such as Aerotrac, SAP, AMOS or Ramco
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A continuous improvement mindset, with Lean / Six Sigma experience being an advantage
A diploma or degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance or a related field

Gestionnaire – Atelier MRO de moteurs à turbine

JMC Aviation est actuellement à la recherche d’un(e) gestionnaire d’atelier moteurs expérimenté(e) pour se joindre à une entreprise bien établie du secteur aéronautique spécialisée dans les activités de maintenance, réparation et révision générale (MRO) de moteurs à turbine.

Il s’agit d’un poste de direction de haut niveau responsable de la performance globale de l’atelier MRO, supervisant plusieurs équipes et veillant à ce que les travaux sur les moteurs et modules soient exécutés de façon sécuritaire, efficace, dans les délais prévus et conformément à toutes les exigences réglementaires et techniques applicables.

Nous recherchons une personne possédant une solide expérience en MRO de moteurs à turbine, ayant dirigé des équipes de production et capable de concilier les priorités techniques, opérationnelles, qualité et commerciales.

Le poste

À titre de gestionnaire, vous serez responsable des opérations quotidiennes de l’atelier MRO, notamment :

Diriger l’ensemble des activités de l’atelier liées aux moteurs et modules, y compris le démontage, le nettoyage, l’inspection, la réparation, l’assemblage et les essais.
Établir les plans de production et les priorités de travail afin d’atteindre les objectifs de délai d’exécution et de livraison.
Gérer et développer les chefs d’équipe, techniciens et membres du personnel de soutien.
Suivre les indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) de production, notamment la productivité, l’efficacité, l’arriéré et le respect des échéanciers de livraison.
Soutenir les escalades techniques et les réparations non planifiées.
Veiller à ce que les travaux soient réalisés conformément aux spécifications du fabricant d’origine (OEM), aux données techniques approuvées et aux procédures de l’entreprise.
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’Assurance qualité afin de maintenir les normes d’inspection et de réduire les reprises, les échappées de qualité et les non-conformités.
Assurer la conformité aux exigences de Transports Canada, de la FAA et de l’AESA (EASA).
Participer aux audits et veiller à la mise en œuvre efficace des mesures correctives découlant des constatations.
Superviser les besoins en outillage, équipements et infrastructures.
Assurer l’utilisation efficace des systèmes ERP pour les ordres de travail, le suivi de la main-d’œuvre, les matériaux, les dossiers et les rapports de production.
Gérer les coûts de main-d’œuvre, l’utilisation des matériaux et les budgets d’exploitation.
Identifier les occasions d’améliorer l’efficacité, la capacité de production et les coûts.
Diriger les initiatives Lean, Six Sigma et d’amélioration continue.
Soutenir les projets futurs d’augmentation de capacité, de numérisation et de standardisation des processus.

Profil recherché

Le candidat idéal possède :

Une vaste expérience dans un atelier MRO de moteurs à turbine.
Une expérience démontrée en gestion de superviseurs, de chefs d’équipe ou d’équipes de production similaires.
Une excellente connaissance des processus de maintenance, réparation et révision générale de moteurs à turbine.
Une solide compréhension des publications techniques OEM et des données techniques approuvées.
Une bonne connaissance des exigences réglementaires de l’aviation et des systèmes qualité.
Une expérience avec un système ERP tel qu’Aerotrac, SAP, AMOS ou Ramco.
D’excellentes aptitudes en leadership et en prise de décision.
D’excellentes compétences en communication et en gestion des parties prenantes.
Une mentalité axée sur l’amélioration continue; une expérience Lean ou Six Sigma constitue un atout.
Un diplôme d’études collégiales ou universitaires en génie aérospatial, maintenance d’aéronefs ou dans un domaine connexe.
