About The Role
Reporting to the Foreman, you will carry out a variety of carpentry tasks on residential and commercial projects. You will work alongside other trades and team members to deliver quality results while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient job site.
What You’ll Do
- Complete framing, renovations, repairs, and interior and exterior finishing.
- Install doors, windows, trim, siding, drywall, flooring, and other building components.
- Build and repair stairs, porches, frameworks, and other wooden structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand and power tools.
- Follow project requirements, applicable building codes, and safe work procedures.
- Coordinate with the Foreman, coworkers, and other trades to keep work progressing.
- Maintain tools and equipment, handle materials safely, and keep work areas clean.
- Complete timesheets and required project documentation accurately.
- Support apprentices and less experienced team members, as appropriate.
- At least two years of relevant carpentry experience.
- Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong carpentry skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, tools, and workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently, follow direction, and contribute to a team.
- A reliable, professional approach and pride in your workmanship.
- Ability to carry out physical construction work, including lifting materials, using ladders and scaffolding, and working in varying weather conditions.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- $20–$30 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

- Monday to Friday schedule, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- A variety of construction and renovation projects in the Greater Fredericton area.

Responsibilities
Perform carpentry work on residential and commercial construction and renovation projects, including framing, repairs, finishing, and installation of building components. Coordinate with the foreman and other trades, follow safety and building requirements, maintain tools and an orderly worksite, and complete project documentation.
Requirements
Applicants need at least two years of relevant carpentry experience and journeyman certification or equivalent practical experience. They should be skilled in blueprint reading, measurement, construction tools and methods, and workplace safety, and have a valid driver's licence and the physical ability to perform construction work.
