Original job description

JMC is partnering with Pump House Brewery to recruit a Regional Restaurant Manager to oversee its Moncton, Shediac, Fill Station and future restaurant locations.

At Pump House, great hospitality starts with how people are treated. From welcoming guests to supporting employees, the team believes that thoughtful service, strong leadership and pride in the community are essential to a successful business.

Reporting directly to ownership, the Regional Restaurant Manager will lead operations across locations, develop capable managers and deliver consistent guest experiences. This is a hands-on opportunity for a restaurant leader who enjoys being present with their teams, understands the numbers, and can turn ideas into practical improvements.

What You’ll Do

Lead and develop strong teams

  • Coach and support location managers by setting clear expectations, running regular check-ins, and ensuring accountability.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training and retention across locations.
  • Develop future supervisors and managers through practical coaching and development plans.
  • Address performance concerns promptly and respectfully while fostering a workplace where employees feel heard and supported.

Deliver memorable guest experiences

  • Maintain consistent standards for welcoming guests, service quality, order accuracy and timely service.
  • Support managers in resolving guest concerns and turning feedback into meaningful improvements.
  • Build teams that confidently introduce guests to Pump House’s food, beer and beverage offerings.
  • Maintain a visible presence during busy services, including evenings and weekends.

Oversee restaurant operations

  • Conduct regular location visits and operational reviews to assess quality, cleanliness, maintenance and service.
  • Work with kitchen and bar leaders to maintain consistent food and beverage standards.
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, waste reduction, cash handling and security practices.
  • Ensure teams follow food safety, responsible alcohol service, workplace safety and company requirements.

Drive business performance

  • Review sales, labour, food and beverage costs, guest counts and other operating measures.
  • Help managers understand their results and develop clear action plans.
  • Work with ownership on budgets, forecasts and performance targets.
  • Align staffing with demand and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
  • Support local promotions, events and community partnerships that strengthen each location’s business.
  • Lead regular managers’ meetings and keep ownership informed of results, priorities and operational needs.

What You Bring

  • A strong track record in restaurant leadership, ideally with responsibility for multiple locations.
  • Experience coaching managers, developing employees and building stable, capable teams.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant financials, scheduling, inventory management and cost controls.
  • A hands-on leadership approach and the ability to move comfortably between a financial review and a busy dining room.
  • Clear communication, sound judgment and the ability to address difficult situations respectfully.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and peak operating periods.
  • Reliable transportation for regular travel between locations.
  • Experience in brewpubs, casual dining or beverage-focused hospitality would be an asset.

Why Join Pump House?

This is an opportunity to help shape the operations of a locally rooted hospitality company. Working closely with ownership, you’ll have a direct impact on the guest experience, business performance and the development of the people who lead each location.

Pump House values warmth, curiosity, integrity and initiative. If you bring high standards, a genuine interest in people and a commitment to helping others succeed, we would like to hear from you.
