About The Role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular part-time Program Clerk - Specialty Services to join our dynamic Collections Operations East team in Halifax.

The Collections Operations East team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by providing administrative support to all program activities within the Collections Team. The Program Clerk will provide support in accordance with all regulations, standards and good manufacturing practice.

Formula for success

Drawing on your knowledge and experience in administration, you will provide a variety of clerical support and assist in the delivery of successful Apheresis donor clinics through recruitment and booking donors.
Leveraging your excellent customer service skills, you will be responsible for managing/booking donor appointments for the Apheresis program.
Utilizing your organizational skills and attention to details, you will provide ongoing support for Donor Relations and Collections and general administrative assistance in Specialty Services areas.
You will perform other related duties as required.

Desired Education And Skills

Completion of secondary education in related field.
Minimum one (1) year of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Customer Service is required.
Experience in Recruitment or Sales would be an asset.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, being able to exercise sound judgement, tact and discretion when dealing with others.
Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with department staff, management, and donors.
Strong organizational and time management skills, being able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities within short timelines.
Proficiency in the use of personal computers within a Windows operating system using Microsoft Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Teams.

Shift/hours: Monday/Tuesday 10:30-18:30, Wednesday 12:00-18:00, Thursday/Friday 07:00-14:00. You will be required to rotate through Saturday shifts, shifts may change slightly due to stat holidays/Saturday rotations.
This position is located 7071 Bayers Rd, Suite 252, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Physical requirements - ability to lift weight up to 20 lbs.
