This is an exciting opportunity to launch or accelerate your career in technology sales while helping transform the industries that keep the global economy moving. As an Account Development Representative, you will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new prospects, developing enterprise accounts, and generating demand for innovative SaaS and IoT solutions. Working in a high-energy, performance-driven sales environment, you will collaborate with experienced sales professionals and gain valuable exposure to enterprise sales strategies. The position offers hands-on experience in prospecting, account mapping, customer engagement, and modern sales technologies, including AI-powered tools. With a strong emphasis on professional development and measurable results, this role provides a pathway toward account executive and other closing positions, with high performers potentially progressing within two years or less. This is a hybrid opportunity for candidates residing in Canada who are motivated to learn, embrace challenges, and make a tangible impact on business operations.

Lead generation and prospecting: Identify, research, and engage potential customers through outbound outreach, including an expected average of 50 cold calls per day, to build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Enterprise account development: Map target organizations, identify key stakeholders and decision-makers, and uncover opportunities to introduce relevant technology solutions across different business functions.
Customer engagement: Initiate conversations with prospective customers, understand their operational challenges, and communicate how connected technology and SaaS solutions can improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Pipeline generation: Qualify leads, assess customer needs, and create opportunities for the sales team to advance through the sales cycle.
Sales collaboration: Work closely with account executives and other sales team members to coordinate prospecting strategies, share account intelligence, and support broader go-to-market initiatives.
CRM and sales technology utilization: Use tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo to research accounts, manage prospect information, document interactions, and improve outreach effectiveness.
Performance management: Work toward established activity, pipeline, and sales development targets while consistently monitoring results and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
Continuous learning: Develop a strong understanding of customers' industries, business processes, and technology requirements to make prospect conversations more relevant and impactful.
AI-enabled productivity: Incorporate AI tools and automation into daily workflows to streamline research, improve prospecting efficiency, and enhance sales execution.
Professional development: Actively seek feedback, collaborate with teammates, learn from unsuccessful outreach, and build the skills required to progress into more advanced sales roles.

Requirements

Sales experience: At least 6 months of sales experience or demonstrated prospecting ability. Relevant experience may include professional sales roles, sales-related coursework, sales competitions, or comparable activities.
Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year bachelor's degree program or within one year of graduation.
Outbound sales readiness: Willingness and ability to make approximately 50 cold calls per day and engage prospective customers through persistent, professional outreach.
Communication skills: Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to initiate conversations, ask insightful questions, build rapport, and communicate value clearly.
Resilience and adaptability: Comfortable handling rejection, learning from setbacks, and maintaining motivation in a target-driven environment.
Growth mindset: Demonstrated willingness to learn, accept coaching, improve performance, and take ownership of professional development.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with teammates, share information, and contribute to a supportive, results-oriented sales culture.
Technology proficiency: Familiarity with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo is an advantage, ideally supported by approximately six months of experience using these tools.
Technical curiosity: Ability to understand technical concepts quickly and explain their practical relevance to business customers.
AI and automation skills: Interest in incorporating AI tools into everyday workflows to improve research, productivity, and prospecting effectiveness.
Business curiosity: Genuine interest in understanding how organizations operate and how technology can solve real-world challenges across different industries.
Location and work authorization: Must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in the designated location. The role follows a hybrid working model, with location requirements depending on operational needs.

Benefits

Competitive compensation: Annual on-target earnings (OTE) ranging from CAD $81,515 to $105,490, depending on the applicable pay zone and city of residence.
Performance-based earnings: Compensation combines base salary with performance-based variable pay, providing opportunities to increase earnings through strong results.
Equity opportunities: Equity compensation may be available to eligible employees, subject to the applicable compensation program.
Flexible working arrangements: An employee-oriented remote and hybrid working model, with access to office facilities where appropriate.
Comprehensive health benefits: Health coverage and wellness resources designed to support employees' physical and overall well-being.
Parental leave: Parental leave plans designed to support employees and their families.
Professional development stipend: Financial support for continued learning, skill development, and career growth.
Career advancement: A structured opportunity to develop enterprise technology sales expertise, with high-performing representatives potentially advancing into closing roles within two years or less.
High-performance sales environment: Opportunities to learn from experienced sales professionals, collaborate with talented colleagues, and develop valuable commercial skills.
