- Manage and develop payroll administration resources through clear priorities, accountability, cross-training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures, policies, checklists, and tracking logs to support consistency, accountability, and business continuity.
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll and tax processes, optimize systems, and strengthen issue resolution.
- Partner with HR teams on payroll reporting, paid time off configurations, earning and deduction codes, general ledger files, compliance matters, and specialized inquiries.
- At least 5–7 years of experience leading payroll teams in a high-volume, complex, multi-province environment, including vendor and audit management.
- Demonstrated experience managing diverse employee populations, including exempt and non-exempt employees, expatriates, executives, and specialized incentive compensation programs.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, tax requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Required certification from the National Payroll Institute (NPI), such as the Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) or Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation.
- Advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and strong Excel skills for financial reporting, data analysis, and reconciliations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with external partners and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, integrity, compliance, and confidentiality.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.

- Compensation may vary based on expertise, performance, and tenure, and may fall outside the published range.
- The opportunity to lead payroll and tax operations across multiple business entities and contribute to regional governance, systems, and process improvement initiatives.
- Opportunities to develop team capabilities and collaborate with senior leaders, HR partners, and external service providers.
