In this hands-on role, you will combine deep C#/.NET expertise with practical experience using AI-powered coding tools and agentic development workflows.
You will contribute directly to product development while helping the team integrate AI-assisted approaches into its everyday engineering processes.
Your work will help improve development speed, code quality, automated testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and technical documentation.
You will collaborate across engineering, product management, quality assurance, and support to deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring peers, and turning emerging AI capabilities into practical engineering improvements.
You will also help shape development standards and best practices within an Agile environment supporting enterprise-grade software.
Accountabilities
As a Senior Microsoft Platform Software Engineer, you will take ownership of key product components while helping establish effective, secure, and repeatable AI-assisted development practices.
- Design, estimate, develop, test, document, and maintain components of a commercial on-premises enterprise software product.
- Build new functionality and maintain existing components within a C#/.NET codebase.
- Champion the adoption of AI-assisted software development practices across the engineering team.
- Evaluate and implement best practices for AI coding agents and agentic development workflows.
- Identify opportunities to use AI-powered tools to improve productivity, code quality, automated testing, debugging, refactoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Mentor team members on the effective, responsible, and secure use of AI coding tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in all stages of Agile/SCRUM delivery, including design discussions, implementation, code reviews, testing, and release readiness.
- Apply software engineering best practices, static analysis, automated testing, and continuous integration to deliver maintainable, high-quality code.
- Contribute to component architecture, technical decisions, and ownership of critical product functionality.
- Collaborate with product management, quality engineering, customer support, and fellow developers to deliver reliable solutions that meet customer needs.
The ideal candidate combines strong Microsoft development expertise with hands-on experience applying AI coding tools to real-world software engineering challenges. You should be comfortable taking technical ownership, improving team practices, and working collaboratively in an Agile environment.
- At least 5 years of professional C# and .NET development experience.

- Hands-on experience with AI-powered development platforms such as Claude Code, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar tools.
- Professional experience using AI coding agents, AI-assisted software development tools, or agentic development workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, debugging, refactoring, or technical documentation.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or comparable development tools, including integrating tests into development pipelines.
- Knowledge of unit testing, mocking, test automation, integration testing, code coverage, code reviews, and continuous integration.
- Strong object-oriented design, debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile development teams and SCRUM-based delivery environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring ability, or experience owning component-level design and delivery.
- Experience developing and maintaining Windows Forms applications.
- Familiarity with Windows networking infrastructure, virtualization technologies such as Azure Virtual Machines, and enterprise deployment environments.
- Experience securing APIs, implementing dependency injection, and applying secure software development practices.
