As a Solution Architect specializing in Teamcenter, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating customer requirements into scalable Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. You will lead solution design, implementation planning, customization, migration, testing, and deployment across diverse industrial environments. Combining deep technical expertise with business process knowledge, you will help customers optimize their digital engineering ecosystems and integrate Teamcenter with CAD and ERP systems. You will also contribute to project leadership, coordinate international multidisciplinary teams, and guide customers through digital transformation initiatives. This opportunity offers long-term career development in a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, customer relationships, and sustainable professional growth.
Accountabilities
You will serve as a key point of contact for customers on PLM solutions and project-related matters, ensuring that business requirements are translated into effective technical architectures and successful implementations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyze customer requirements: Capture and evaluate business processes, identify operational needs, and translate requirements into comprehensive PLM solution concepts.
- Design and present solutions: Develop, document, and present solution architectures, implementation approaches, and technical recommendations tailored to customer objectives.
- Advise customers: Provide expert guidance on available solutions, implementation strategies, methodologies, and process improvements related to Teamcenter and PLM/PDM environments.
- Estimate and plan projects: Assess technical effort, contribute to proposal preparation, define implementation approaches, and establish plans for Teamcenter deployments and customizations.
- Lead solution implementation: Oversee or contribute directly to solution design, configuration, customization, migration, testing, and rollout activities.
- Configure and customize Teamcenter: Implement customer-specific solutions, including server-side and client-side customizations, to address complex business and engineering requirements.
- Manage integrations: Support Teamcenter integration with CAD and ERP systems to enable effective data exchange and connected engineering workflows.
- Apply appropriate project methodologies: Use agile or traditional project management approaches to structure requirements, solution concepts, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate project delivery: Participate in projects as a technical specialist or assume partial or overall project leadership responsibilities.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams: Coordinate international and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment between technical teams, business representatives, and customers.
- Resolve complex technical challenges: Apply detailed knowledge of Teamcenter's internal functionality and processes to recommend practical solutions and support successful implementation.
The ideal candidate combines extensive Teamcenter expertise with a strong understanding of PLM/PDM processes, solution architecture, and project delivery. You should be comfortable advising customers, translating complex requirements into technical solutions, and collaborating with international teams. The following qualifications and capabilities are expected:
- Education: A completed degree or vocational qualification in computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- PLM/PDM expertise: Strong knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and Product Data Management processes, concepts, methodologies, and implementation practices.
- Teamcenter experience: Extensive practical experience with Teamcenter architecture, functionality, configuration, and customization.
- Teamcenter modules: Detailed knowledge of Teamcenter Structure Management, Change Management, Dispatcher, Scheduler, and/or other relevant modules.
- Organization and access management: Experience with Teamcenter organization structures, permissions, and access management.
- Server-side customization: Knowledge of BMIDE-based configuration and customization, including data models, workflows, and ITK/SOA services.
- Client-side customization: Experience with both codeless and code-based customization for Active Workspace (AW) and Rich Application Client (RAC).
- System integration: Experience integrating Teamcenter with CAD and ERP systems.
- Technical problem-solving: Ability to understand Teamcenter's internal processes, assess complex technical requirements, and develop effective implementation solutions.
- Project management: Demonstrated project experience, ideally including partial or full project leadership and familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Communication and collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, intercultural competence, and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Language skills: Very good German proficiency and strong written and spoken English.
- Long-term employment: Permanent employment contract offering professional stability.
- Established work environment: Join a family-owned company with a long-standing presence in the PLM and manufacturing technology sector.
- Collaborative team culture: Work in a supportive environment characterized by teamwork, mutual assistance, and knowledge sharing.
- Structured working hours: Benefit from defined core working hours and overtime compensation.
- Competitive compensation: Attractive annual gross target compensation, with an optional company car.
- Professional development: Access opportunities to expand your technical expertise and advance your career.
- Individual development support: Benefit from personalized employee discussions and career development opportunities.
- Team events: Participate in company activities that strengthen collaboration and team spirit.
- Additional perks: Access benefits such as bicycle leasing and corporate fitness programs.
- Work-life balance: Join an organization that values employees' different life stages and supports a sustainable balance between professional and personal commitments.
