Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Murex Developer / Techno-Functional Engineer to support and enhance Murex-based Capital Markets and Investment Banking applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Murex, MxML, Datamart, Back Office (BO), Unix/Shell scripting, SQL, and system integration. The role will involve development, production support, integration, reporting, troubleshooting, and enhancement of Murex applications across different environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Murex applications, workflows, interfaces, and integrations.
- Work extensively with MxML workflows and Murex integration components.
- Support Murex 3.x applications across DEV, SIT, UAT, and Production environments.
- Provide L1/L2 technical and functional support for Murex applications.
- Monitor daily system activities, batch processes, and End-of-Day (EOD) processing.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Develop and maintain Murex Datamart reports for Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Create and maintain report tables and SQL queries for ad-hoc and EOD reporting.
- Work on reporting requirements covering products such as Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Bonds, and Equities.
- Develop and support Back Office and post-trade processes, including integration and automation.
- Drive Straight-Through Processing (STP) improvements and reduce manual intervention in post-trade processes.
- Perform functional testing, unit testing, and support UAT activities for new Murex implementations and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain Unix Shell scripts for monitoring, automation, and system support.
- Use SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, reporting, and integration requirements.
- Support middleware and external-system integrations with Murex.
- Collaborate with technical, functional, QA, and business teams to deliver scalable Murex solutions.
- Support environment and infrastructure-related activities to maintain stable Murex operations.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Murex.
- Experience with Murex 3.x.
- Strong knowledge of MxML / MxML workflows.
- Experience with Murex Datamart and report development.
- Knowledge of Murex Back Office / Post-Trade processes.
- Experience with Murex integration and interfaces.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Good experience with Unix/Linux and Shell scripting.
- Experience in production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Understanding of Capital Markets / Investment Banking products.
- Experience with Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Bonds, or Equities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
