Job Title: Java Developer – Capital Markets (eTrading)
Location: Toronto, ON (3–4 Days Onsite per Week)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong background in Capital Markets to join a high-performing eTrading team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience building low-latency, high-performance trading applications using Core Java and Spring technologies. Experience in Debt Capital Markets (DCM) is highly desirable.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12–15 years of overall software development experience.
- 10–12 years of hands-on experience with Core Java.
- 5–10 years of experience with the Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
- Strong experience developing multi-threaded, low-latency, high-performance applications.
- Excellent understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Hands-on coding experience with a strong focus on clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Experience designing and developing Microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Caching Solutions/MemSQL.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure (other cloud platforms will also be considered).
- Experience with real-time messaging technologies such as Solace or JMS.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux, and Shell Scripting.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating across global teams.
Domain Experience
- Strong experience in Capital Markets is required.
- Debt Capital Markets (DCM) experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of Financial Operations is considered an advantage.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) tools and technologies.
