The Java Engineer develops and maintains backend services, APIs, database integrations, tests, and technical documentation while supporting software quality through debugging and code reviews.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain Java backend features under the guidance of experienced engineers

Build API endpoints, validate inputs, and integrate application code with relational databases

Write unit and integration tests and investigate defects using logs and debugging tools

Participate in code reviews and document technical decisions and service behavior

Qualification

Required

Foundational Java and object-oriented programming skills demonstrated through academic, personal, or internship projects

Understanding of data structures, HTTP APIs, and basic SQL

Familiarity with Git and a willingness to learn testing and maintainable service design

Preferred

Exposure to Spring Boot, Maven, or Gradle

Experience with automated tests, containers, or continuous integration
