At SIROY, we are looking for an experienced journeyman carpenter who knows their trade inside and out and has a proven track record as a team leader.
Are you skilled with tools, comfortable reading blueprints, and able to keep a project moving forward while sharing your knowledge with others?

Your Role
You will be on-site with your team, directly involved in the work and responsible for its proper execution.
On a Daily Basis, You Will Be Required To

We are primarily looking for a true tradesperson with leadership and hands-on experience.

SIROY is a general contractor and primarily undertakes new construction and major renovations, from Montreal to Mont-Tremblant.
We work particularly on high-end homes and architectural projects that demand precision, expertise, and attention to detail.
Depending On The Project, Our Teams Work On
SIROY is also Passivhaus and Novoclimat certified, reflecting the importance we place on sound construction methods and quality workmanship.

Our goal: to build a strong field team in the Montreal area, then continue our expansion into the Laurentians.

Your Role
You will be on-site with your team, directly involved in the work and responsible for its proper execution.
On a Daily Basis, You Will Be Required To
- organize and distribute the team's work;
- read and interpret construction plans and details;
- plan materials, tools, and next steps;
- ensure the quality and progress of the work;
- quickly identify problems and find solutions;
- communicate effectively with the superintendent;
- mentor and mentor apprentices and carpenters;
- actively participate in the work;
- maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized worksite.
The Ideal Candidate
We are primarily looking for a true tradesperson with leadership and hands-on experience.
You Must
- hold your journeyman carpenter-joiner card;
- have several years of experience in the trade;
- have experience as a team leader, foreman, or in a similar role;
- master construction tools and methods;
- be very comfortable reading blueprints;
- be able to plan and anticipate next steps;
- be autonomous, organized, and capable of making decisions;
- be able to demonstrate best practices and share your knowledge experience.

Responsibilities
Organize and distribute the team's work, interpret construction plans, plan materials and next steps, and ensure work quality, progress, and site safety. Work hands-on alongside the team, communicate with the superintendent, resolve problems, and mentor apprentices and carpenters.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a journeyman carpenter-joiner card and have several years of carpentry experience, including experience leading a team or serving in a similar role. They must be proficient with construction tools and methods, comfortable reading blueprints, and able to plan ahead, work autonomously, make decisions, and share their expertise.
