What You Will Do
Lead the commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and optimization of Building Automation Systems (BAS). Serve as a technical expert for complex HVAC controls, delivering high-quality service and providing customers with solutions that improve building performance, reliability, and efficiency.
How You Will Do It
- Commission, program, and optimize BAS and HVAC control systems.
- Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of controls, electrical, and mechanical issues.
- Lead system testing, calibration, and validation activities.
- Interpret plans, specifications, and sequences of operation.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical guidance to junior technicians as required.
- Identify system improvement opportunities and recommend upgrades or energy-saving solutions.
- Prepare service documentation, as-built drawings, and customer reports.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company procedures.
What We Look For
Required
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in HVAC, Building Automation, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems, commissioning, or service.
- Strong knowledge of BAS/DDC systems, HVAC equipment, and system integration.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
- Experience programming and commissioning HVAC control systems.
- Strong customer-facing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor and support less experienced technicians.
- Proficiency with computers, networking fundamentals, and HVAC software applications.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to travel as required for business needs.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $36.00-$45.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
