JG is a platinum member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies and was named one of Manitoba’s Top Employers. We support a positive work atmosphere where we value the diversity in the people we serve and are looking for talent who will contribute to our diverse and inclusive workplace; where individual differences are recognized, appreciated, and respected. JG believes in giving back and contributes significantly to local health, arts, sports, and other community organizations.
This role connects sales strategy, business processes, and technology. Responsibilities include supporting Johnston Group’s Salesforce and HubSpot environments, including Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, emerging MGA capabilities, and distribution workflows across MaxBen, CINUP, NHC, Arcora, and related business units.
The incumbent translates business needs into practical platform improvements using Agile methodologies, strengthens CRM adoption and data quality, coordinates vendors and internal stakeholders, and equips sales teams and advisors with effective tools, training, reporting, and processes.
The role also helps reduce manual work through automation and system integration, using user feedback and operational insights to guide scalable improvements that make everyday work easier for sales teams and advisors.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day administration, configuration, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of Salesforce, HubSpot, MGA tools, and connected sales technologies.
- Gather comprehensive business requirements, document user stories and visual process needs, assess impact, and maintain a prioritized enhancement backlog with business and technology leaders.
- Standardize and improve lead, opportunity, pipeline, advisor, renewal, and partner-management workflows across participating business units.
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that improve visibility into pipeline activity, conversion, advisor engagement, adoption, data quality, and business outcomes.
- Develop job aids, onboarding materials, process documentation, and practical training; provide ongoing support and reinforce consistent use of tools and processes by leveraging an understanding of user learning styles and group dynamics.
- Monitor data completeness and accuracy, coordinate cleanup activities and migrations, establish standards, and support appropriate access, privacy, and compliance practices.
- Act as a central liaison among Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, MGA leadership, business units, and external consultants
- Coordinate testing, facilitate UAT, validate acceptance criteria, releases, issue resolution, and communications.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through workflow automation, system integration, and responsible use of AI-enabled capabilities.
- Maintain a well-organized library of sales materials, playbooks, presentations, templates, and product information so teams can find and use current resources.
- Track user feedback, platform usage, and operational results
- Recommend practical and scalable changes that improve advisor and employee experience.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business, commerce, information systems, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years of experience in sales enablement, sales operations, revenue operations, CRM administration, functional consulting, business analysis, product coordination, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or a comparable CRM platform, including reporting, dashboards, data management, workflow support, and user administration with a track record of completing full implementations without an external partner.
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, map processes, document decisions, coordinate testing, and move improvements from concept through implementation.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting or visualization tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in practical business language.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities across several stakeholder groups.
- Experience supporting sales or distribution teams in insurance, employee benefits, financial services, technology consulting, or B2B SaaS is preferred.
- Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, HubSpot, Agile, Scrum, product ownership, or change-management certification is considered an asset.
- Ability to collaborate within a team while working independently when needed.
The successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada. We thank all applicants for their interest. Please note that only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
