Responsibilities
- This role requires a strong hands-on individual with leadership, communication, and technical skills to perform some or all the following:
- Assisting with and leading various tiered accountability meetings
- Leading problem solving exercises
- Improving our factory’s visual management and 5S culture
- Fostering a higher degree of employee engagement
- Working towards improving inter-factory relations (i.e., operations, engineering, health and safety, quality, project management, sales, etc.)
- Third year completed of a bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering field, with plans to return after the work term
- Proficient with MS Excel and other MS Office software
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a high pace environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Understanding of lean management, quality, and continuous improvement
- Excellent data analysis skills
- Excellent problem solving skills

Responsibilities
Support the development and maturity of the facility’s continuous improvement management system, with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost. Lead or assist with accountability meetings and problem-solving exercises, improve visual management and 5S practices, and foster employee engagement and collaboration across departments.
Requirements
Applicants must have completed their third year of a related engineering bachelor’s degree and plan to return to school after the work term. They should be proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office software, and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and multitasking abilities, along with an understanding of lean management, quality, and continuous improvement.
