Our employer partner is a non profit organization and currently looking to add an experienced Program Manager to their team!

Job Overview:

A nonprofit organization focused on immigration, newcomer integration, and citizenship is seeking a highly organized and proactive Program Manager to oversee partnerships with immigrant settlement organizations, manage a federal funding agreement, develop new grant funding opportunities, and support research and policy priorities.

The successful candidate will collaborate across teams and serve as a key point of contact for a national network of settlement-sector partners. This role is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable managing deadlines and compliance requirements, skilled in grant writing, and enjoys building strong relationships and bringing people together.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnerships

Manage and strengthen a national network of immigrant settlement service organizations.
Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for settlement-sector partners.
Organize and facilitate virtual partner meetings, including preparing agendas, leading discussions, and following up on action items.
Maintain partner agreements, including renewals, amendments, and related documentation.
Support partners in understanding and promoting newcomer programs and services.

Program Management

Manage a federal funding agreement, including reporting and communications with the funder.
Prepare and submit accurate and timely funder reports by gathering relevant data and information from across the organization.
Coordinate with internal teams on reporting, budget tracking, and related program requirements.

Grant Writing & Funding Development

Research and maintain a pipeline of federal, provincial, and municipal funding opportunities.
Monitor funding calls, grant opportunities, and government funding announcements.
Identify funding opportunities that align with organizational priorities.
Develop and prepare grant applications, including project narratives, logic models, workplans, and performance measurement strategies.
Develop and manage compliant project budgets.

Administration & Stakeholder Engagement

Coordinate communications with government, academic, research, and strategic partners.
Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person events, from initial concept and logistics through execution.
Provide administrative support for research, policy, and organizational priorities.

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in program management, partnerships, operations, or a related field, ideally within the nonprofit or public sector.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience managing funded programs and preparing funder reports.
Familiarity with federal funding agreements and compliance requirements is an asset.
Experience developing grant proposals or funding applications, including project narratives, logic models, workplans, and budgets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence leading meetings and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience planning and coordinating virtual and in-person events.
Comfortable working with budgets and collaborating with finance teams.
Interest in immigration and settlement in Canada.
Familiarity with the Canadian settlement sector is an asset.
English/French bilingualism is an asset.
