Position: Mobile Application Developer (React Native & Frontend)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid- 2-3days/week)
Job type: Full time/Permanent hiring
We are looking for a skilled and versatile Mobile Application Developer to drive the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our cross-platform mobile applications. In this role, you will be leveraging React Native as your core development framework while utilizing your strong foundational knowledge in JavaScript and frontend ecosystems to build smooth, high-performing mobile experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional squads, review code, integrate secure APIs, and ensure the architectural integrity of our mobile applications.
Core Responsibilities
- Mobile Engineering: Architect, develop, and deploy new features for cross-platform iOS and Android applications utilizing React Native.
- Code Quality & Governance: Perform detailed code reviews to maintain clean, scalable, and reusable code architectures.
- API Integration: Integrate RESTful/GraphQL APIs and third-party services to connect frontend interfaces with robust backend architectures.
- Quality Assurance: Write rigorous unit tests, resolve software defects, and closely collaborate with QA engineering teams to troubleshoot application stability.
- Agile Delivery: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban, standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives).
- Technical Documentation: Maintain crystal-clear architectural and technical documentation for components, modules, and API integrations.
Required Qualifications & Skillsets
- Core Mobile Framework: Direct, hands-on experience building and deploying production-ready apps using React Native.
- Programming Language: Expert proficiency in core JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frontend programming concepts.
- Framework Versatility: Strong structural understanding or working knowledge of Angular frameworks to assist with micro-frontend architectures or legacy migrations.
- Testing & Tools: Solid experience with mobile debugging tools, unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest), and native mobile concepts.
