The Role

Kablamo is engaging a Fractional Sales Leader to help grow its Canadian business through targeted business development. This sits within a broader category of fractional sales roles - experienced sales professionals engaged part-time or on contract rather than as full-time hires - most commonly structured as a Fractional Sales Development Representative (prospecting and booking meetings) or a Sales Executive (full-cycle sales from prospecting through close).

For This Engagement, The Fractional Sales Leader Works Closely With Kablamo's Canadian Managing Director To Define Scope And Targets, Blending Elements Of The Sales Development Representative And Sales Executive Profiles

SDR elements: opening doors through their own network, running client conversations, and brokering introduction between prospective clients and Kablamo
Sales Executive elements: feeding market insight back to the team and helping shape proposal strategy, supporting deal shaping and relationship building through to close

This role's compensation model would look like a capped, fractional hourly rate to cover your time, plus commission on top for the first 12 months of revenue from any contracts you bring in - so the deals you originate directly benefit you.

Key Responsibilities

Leverage Kablamo's service offerings to identify relevant targets within your own network, and conduct outreach and introductions to Kablamo's market lead and team
Provide guidance on proposals, introductory materials, and other sales content ahead of client meetings, as directed by the market lead and team
Attend client meetings, at minimum first call
Provide market insights (rates, propensity to spend, priority areas) and prepare the team for client proposal development
Maintain CRM records with contact details, next steps, and summaries of discussions
Help strengthen Partner (AWS, Google, Anthropic) relationships through introductions and, where relevant, presentations to Partner representatives on Kablamo's capabilities

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

Prior experience selling consulting and software engineering services to VP and c-suite executives in mid-market and enterprise sectors
An execution-oriented track record with strong sale stage progression and close rates
Strong pitching and consultative-selling skills
Prior experience working fractionally or as an independent contractor is a plus
Self-directed: able to operate with minimal oversight while still reporting clearly on progress

Information Security Responsibilities

Identify and manage security risks within the scope of the role, ensuring compliance with defined security controls, escalating emerging threats to the Risk Manager and Senior Leadership Team, and supporting the continuous improvement of security practices
