Tasks
- Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers
- Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
- Perform minor repairs on appliances
- Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
- Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
- Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
- Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas

Responsibilities
Clean and disinfect floors, windows, walls, ceilings, bathrooms, and other facility areas; remove waste and clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, move heavy items, care for grounds, and contact tradespersons when major repairs are needed.
Requirements
Requires a secondary school graduation certificate and 1 to less than 2 years of experience. The role requires a valid driver's licence, a satisfactory criminal record check, the ability to handle loads up to 23 kg, and physical capacity for demanding, repetitive work in all weather conditions.
