Join the Everclean Team - Night Cleaner

Pay: $21.11 per hour

What You'll Be Doing

As a Night Cleaner, you are the reason the mall looks its best every morning. Most of your shift (about 90%) is hands-on cleaning work, and the rest is simple paperwork and keeping track of your equipment.

Your everyday tasks will include:

• Operating a floor-scrubbing machine (we will train you!) to clean all common areas and entranceways
• Sweeping and mopping floors - including moving and returning items like furniture and kiddie rides
• Removing gum and sticky substances from floors using a putty knife or cleaning solution
• Cleaning corners, storefronts, and edges that machines can't reach
• Lifting entrance mats, cleaning underneath them, and putting them back properly
• Removing stains from floors; reporting any stains that can't be removed to your Team Leader
• Washing the food court area, back hallways, and loading bay floors
• Cleaning up spills and standing water right away, and putting up "Caution – Wet Floor" signs until the floor is dry
• Sweeping and mopping service corridors, elevators (both public and freight), and escalators (when off)
• Responding quickly to calls from your Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager
• Following all safety and emergency procedures
• Helping with event setups or promotions when needed

Your paperwork tasks will include:

• Filling out any incident report forms when needed
• Completing equipment maintenance logs

Sometimes you may also be asked to:

• Do high-up dusting (training and equipment provided)
• Help with other reasonable tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

No previous experience? No problem - we will train you. Here's what matters most:

• You can safely use and look after cleaning equipment and supplies (training provided)
• You're physically able to handle the tasks of the role
• You show up to work consistently and on time
• You can follow instructions given in English, both spoken and written
• You're comfortable standing and walking for most of your shift
