Kaneff is currently seeking a Project Coordinator, Capital Projects – Residential to support capital improvement projects and day-to-day operational initiatives across our multi-residential portfolio.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Residential leadership team, the Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination and execution of capital expenditure projects while also assisting with operational matters across Kaneff's residential properties.

This is a hands-on coordination role that requires strong organization, follow-up and communication. The successful candidate will work closely with Property Managers, site teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal departments to ensure projects and operational initiatives are properly documented, coordinated and completed.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and support residential capital projects from planning and procurement through completion and close-out.
Assist with project scopes, quotations, tendering, contractor coordination, schedules, budgets and documentation.
Conduct site visits, monitor project progress and follow up on deficiencies, delays and outstanding items.
Support day-to-day residential operations, including repairs, maintenance initiatives, inspections and vendor coordination.
Maintain organized project and operational records, including contracts, invoices, warranties and supporting documentation.
Assist with capital planning, reporting and documentation required to support Above Guideline Increase (AGI) applications.
Work closely with Property Managers, site teams, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
Provide regular updates on project progress, costs, risks and operational priorities.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering Technology, Project Management, Property Management or a related field.
Previous experience in project coordination, construction, capital projects, building operations or property management.
Experience in multi-residential property management or building rehabilitation is considered an asset.
Familiarity with AGI applications and the Residential Tenancies Act is considered an asset.
Strong organizational, communication and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with project and property documentation.

Work Environment

This is a fully in-person position, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The position will be temporarily based at Kaneff's office located at 5770 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, Ontario, with regular travel to residential properties and active project sites as required.
