Permanent Casual Position. Includes Weekdays, Evenings and Weekends.

The Casual Direct Support Professional provides call-in or back-fill support.

Hourly $22.87 CAD

Schomberg, 102 Western Avenue

30-40 minutes from Richmond Hill, Near Newmarket

CASUAL DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

The Relief Support provides call-in or back-fill support to people supported. They assist with activities of daily living and work within the protocols of the location. They work with other employees on shift to provide supports and services to people. Working within Karis Disability Services Service Principles, the Relief Support considers each person’s intrinsic value.

Requirements

DSW or CYS Diploma
Current/Valid G Driver's License
Computer Skills: Windows, Word, Excel, Email, etc.
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check

Experience Required

Preferred

3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)

Responsibilities

Provide call-in or back-fill support to people supported, assisting with activities of daily living and following the protocols of the location. Work with other employees on shift to deliver support and services while applying Karis Disability Services' principles and respecting each person's intrinsic value.

Requirements

A Developmental Services Worker or Child and Youth Services diploma is required, along with a valid G driver's license, computer skills, and a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check. Relevant experience includes behavior supports, supported independent living, and supporting people with dual diagnoses, autism, FASD, or communication needs; 3–6 months of related volunteer or employment experience is preferred.
