DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.

- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
- Experience with working with Behaviour Support Plans and CPI techniques.
- Experience supporting people living within a Supported Independent Living model.

Responsibilities
Provide personalized support to adults with developmental disabilities who live independently in the community. Help individuals build daily living skills and access the support and connections they need to live as independently as possible.
Requirements
A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check, reliable transportation, and a full G driver's license with access to a vehicle are required. Preferred qualifications include 12 months of experience, relevant post-secondary education or training, and experience with behaviour support plans, CPI techniques, supported independent living, dual diagnosis, and related support needs.
