Welcome to Kasian, where almost 40 years of design excellence has sparked a passion for transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary experiences. Our passion is strengthening connections between people and places by creating built environments that inspire and improve lives. With offices across Canada, we leverage the experience of our 250+ Kasian team members to deliver innovative and unique design solutions in multiple market sectors: commercial, workplace, healthcare, senior living, industrial, transportation, post-secondary and other public opportunities.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Project Architect to complement our Langley office. You will provide design leadership on various projects and assist as a technical expert on specialized design and act as a design resource for specific components of projects. You will assist in the education and development of design staff. Woodframe Multi-Family Projects experience is essential.

Here's what you’ll be doing at Kasian:

Work with talented architects and technologists to produce quality projects for private sector clients
Develop project criteria, the scope of services, detailed work plans, drawing lists, schedules, and resource (staff, technical, and budget) requirements over the project lifecycle
Push the boundaries of design while meeting the needs of clients and end-users; participate in stakeholder meetings, create design concepts and presentation material
Lead, motivate, and manage the project team to produce successful design and construction documentation
Coordinate with project consultants (ie. electrical, mechanical, structural)
Resolve complex design and technical issues
Manage client relationships and actively develop these throughout the project process
Ensure projects are delivered effectively through efficient resource management and by achieving scheduled milestones
Undertake site reviews and construction administration

Here’s what you bring to Kasian:

B. Arch or M. Arch from an accredited architectural program, coupled with a minimum of 10+ years of architectural experience; 5 years minimum in wood-frame multi-family projects.
Registration with a provincial regulatory board is a strong asset
Effective written and oral communication skills
An innovative and forward-thinking approach to design and a natural curiosity for staying current with new trends, materials, and construction methods
Strong technical knowledge and technical drawing experience in Revit
Excellent graphic communication and presentation skills
An ability to add value to all stages of project delivery

Salary starts at $100,000+ per annum, based on a 40-hour work week. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, and skill set.

What We Offer:

A creative and collaborative environment
Competitive salary and annual performance reviews
Professional development support
Mentorship programs and career growth opportunities
Flexibility and work-life balance in a values-driven workplace
