What You’ll Do
- Record and validate accounting entries to support accurate financial reporting across the organization
- Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet and cash accounts, resolving discrepancies proactively
- Contribute to the completion of monthly and annual close activities within established timelines
- Assist in generating internal and external financial reports, including supporting schedules and analyses
- Review financial results against expectations and identify notable trends or variances for leadership
- Provide support in the preparation and maintenance of budgeting and forecast models
- Coordinate documentation and schedules required for annual audits and other compliance reviews
- Monitor adherence to established financial controls, policies, and accounting procedures
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide accounting support and financial guidance as needed
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance accounting processes through continuous improvement initiatives
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to general ledger functions
- Progress toward or completion of a professional accounting designation is preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Experience working with ERP/accounting systems in a corporate environment
- Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams

Responsibilities
Record and validate accounting entries, reconcile balance sheet and cash accounts, support monthly and annual close activities, and prepare financial reports and analyses. Assist with budgeting and forecasting, audits, compliance, financial controls, stakeholder support, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related discipline and at least two years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger exposure, are requested. A professional accounting designation in progress or completed is preferred, along with knowledge of accounting and reporting standards, ERP systems, advanced spreadsheet skills, analytical ability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
