Role Description This part-time on-site Hairdresser role is based at Kast Hair Studio in Port Moody, BC. The Hairdresser will provide a full range of salon services, including hair cutting, styling, and care for a diverse clientele. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with guests to understand their needs, recommending suitable styles and treatments, and performing services with attention to detail and safety. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, following salon hygiene standards, and assisting with scheduling and client communication when needed. The Hairdresser will contribute to a positive, professional atmosphere and support repeat business through excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Hair Cutting and Hair Styling, with the ability to work with various hair types and lengths.
• Knowledge of Hair Care techniques, products, and treatments to maintain and improve hair health.
• Foundational training or certification in Cosmetology, or equivalent practical salon experience.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a client-focused approach.
• Ability to work part time on-site in Port Moody, BC, including evenings or weekends as needed.
• Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple appointments efficiently.
• Experience in a salon environment and familiarity with booking systems and point-of-sale processes is an asset.
