Contract Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Onsite - SW, Calgary, AB

Contract term: November 2, 2026–November 1, 2027

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Compensation:

$77.00–$94.00 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay

The opportunity

Join the External Reporting and Legal Entity Reporting team as a Senior Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager, External Reporting, you’ll support quarterly external reporting and prepare or review domestic and international legal entity financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

This role is suited to a motivated accounting professional who takes pride in accuracy, works well under tight deadlines, and enjoys collaborating across business units and functional teams.

What you’ll do

• Support the quarterly review of consolidated financial statements, Management’s Discussion and Analysis, supplemental reporting, and related working papers and schedules.
• Prepare and review Canadian and U.S. legal entity financial statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS.
• Work with business units and the Tax team to support legal entity reporting.
• Assist with external audit and review engagements.
• Collaborate with Accounting Research on reporting and disclosure matters, including changes to IFRS.
• Support tax step memos, accounting transactions, regulatory schedules, and other reporting projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and efficiencies.

What you bring

• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Undergraduate degree, preferably in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
• CPA designation.
• At least 8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience after designation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and the ability to apply it across legal entities and consolidated reporting.
• Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; SAP, Group Reporting, and Workiva experience are assets.
