Job Title: Senior React / JavaScript Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (3 days onsite per week)
Hiring Event: November 18–19
Role Overview: Seeking an Engineer to join its Unified Fixed Income Trade Processing (FITP) team. FITP is a global trading platform supporting derivatives, cash, exotics, and securities financing products, serving 3,800+ users and processing approximately 200,000 transactions daily. The role focuses on building scalable, high-performance UI applications, modernizing services, and enabling automated CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and testable applications.
- Build and enhance UI components using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and Node.js.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new products, system enhancements, and process improvements.
- Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and testability.
- Contribute to service modernization, CI/CD automation, and overall application architecture.
- Establish coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Analyze complex technical and business problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Mentor mid-level developers and ensure compliance with risk, security, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of application development experience.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, React, HTML5, and Node.js.
- Solid understanding of web development, system design, application performance, and testing.
- Experience working in large-scale, collaborative development environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and drive technical improvements.
Nice to Have: Fixed Income domain knowledge, C#, and .NET Framework.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
