Job Title: Performance Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: 1 year | Extension: Possible | Conversion: Possible

About the Role: Support important enterprise-wide projects, end-to-end performance engineering, from requirements and test planning through execution, analysis, troubleshooting, tuning, and reporting. Hands-on expertise with JMeter and Dynatrace, solid knowledge of non-functional requirements and application architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end performance engineering and performance testing activities.
  • Gather requirements, define workload models, develop test plans and scenarios, and execute large-scale performance tests.
  • Develop, enhance, and customize JMeter scripts using advanced scripting techniques.
  • Use Dynatrace for deep-dive performance monitoring, analysis, and bottleneck identification.
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations to improve system stability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization across applications, databases, and infrastructure.
  • Work with developers, architects, operations, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and drive performance improvements.
  • Prepare performance reports and communicate measurable findings and recommendations.

Must-Have Skills

  • 6+ years of Performance Engineering experience
  • 6+ years of Performance Testing experience
  • 6+ years of JMeter experience
  • 6+ years of Dynatrace experience
  • Strong experience with Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and system/application architecture
  • Strong Performance Tuning & Optimization experience
  • Experience across the complete performance engineering lifecycle: requirements, planning, scripting, execution, analysis, troubleshooting, tuning, and reporting
