Job Title – Scrum Master
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite – 4 days/week)
Contract Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week
Role Overview: Seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support its Agile@Scale practice within the Data Platform team. The role will focus on maintaining and enhancing data platforms, with an emphasis on data lifecycle management.
The ideal candidate will be a strong Agile leader capable of driving delivery, facilitating Agile practices, removing impediments, and improving team performance in a technology-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and PI Planning.
- Drive Agile@Scale practices and ensure effective delivery across technical teams/pods.
- Manage team backlogs, work-in-progress limits, dependencies, and delivery impediments.
- Maintain and optimize Agile workflows using Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement, team collaboration, productivity, and predictable delivery.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Technology Leads, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution.
- Maintain accurate Agile artifacts, reporting, and documentation in Jira and Confluence.
- Support risk management, governance, and enterprise Agile standards.
Mandatory Requirements
- 5–7 years of overall professional experience, including at least 5 years as a Scrum Master.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence (minimum 5 years).
- Minimum 4–5 years of Scaled Agile / Agile@Scale experience.
- Proven experience leading technical Agile teams or pods.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Experience managing and delivering cloud-based technology projects.
- Ability to lead PI Planning and other enterprise Agile ceremonies.
