We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join a high-performing finance team in Calgary. This role is ideal for a seasoned AP professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys solving complex accounting and process challenges.

Monitor AP queues, aging reports, stalled workflows, and overdue approvals to ensure timely processing.
Assist with month-end and year-end activities, including accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
Utilize dashboards and KPIs to identify trends, improve processing efficiency, and reduce exceptions.
Conduct root cause analysis on recurring AP challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
Recommend and support automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Master Data, Tax, employees, and vendors to resolve issues and improve processes.
Act as an escalation point for complex AP and employee expense inquiries.
