Job Title: Senior Solution Architect – Capital Management Platform
Location: Toronto, ON (4 days/week onsite)
Contract: 12 months
Role Overview: Seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture and solution design of a greenfield enterprise Capital Management Platform built on Databricks and Azure. The role requires expertise in large-scale data processing, cloud infrastructure, application architecture, and responsive user-facing solutions within a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture across application, data, infrastructure, networking, and integration layers.
- Design scalable, secure, high-performance solutions capable of processing millions of financial records.
- Architect responsive applications enabling business users to access and manage capital-related information.
- Evaluate architectural options and optimize performance, latency, data movement, and scalability.
- Provide technical guidance on Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure App Service, Azure Data Factory, and related cloud services.
- Produce architecture diagrams, solution design documents, and implementation recommendations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data modelers, developers, and engineering teams to guide technical decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Senior-level solution architecture experience with complex enterprise applications.
- Strong expertise in cloud architecture, application design, distributed systems, data integration, and networking.
- Experience designing large-scale, data-intensive platforms and responsive user-facing applications.
- Strong understanding of scalability, performance optimization, latency, security, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Ability to lead architectural decisions and guide engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience, including Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure App Service, and Azure Data Factory.
- Banking, financial services, treasury, or capital management domain experience.
- Experience building greenfield enterprise applications and optimizing low-latency data-intensive solutions.
- AWS or GCP architecture experience may be considered with strong transferable expertise.
